Theater Night 2022 at the Ostrava Puppet Theater or Heroes come alive

Come and see how the heroes come to life on the facade of our theater, make your own hero or see how children see the heroes from our fairy tales. The tenth anniversary edition of Night of the Theaters will take place in the Ostrava Puppet Theater on Saturday, November 19, from 4:30 p.m.

The theme of this year's Theater Night is heroes. Heroes in every sense of the word. The Ostrava Puppet Theater has prepared a program with and about heroes for this special occasion. With those you can see on the facade of our theater - the king, queen, caspar, the devil... The doors of our theater will open for you on the third Saturday of November and we cordially invite you to an evening with us in the theater and its surroundings.

Program:

• from 4:30 p.m. – until approx. 5:30 p.m. SHINE THE HEROES – a creative workshop for the general public on the alternative stage of the theater
  • Together we will create light puppets or puppet lanterns on the theme of heroes.
• 17:00 Heroes from the productions of the Ostrava Puppet Theater through the eyes of children - opening of the exhibition
  • The exhibited works were created as competition entries within the competition for schools and kindergartens announced in the spring of 2022 by the Ostrava Puppet Theatre.
  • As part of the opening, children from ZUŠ Sokolská Ostrava, the class of teacher Renata Marcalíková, sing.
• 18:00 Heroes come alive - program in front of the building and around the Puppet Theater
  • accompanying program:
    • Roasting dumplings in front of the theater building
    • Hot drinks in the theater cafe and in front of the building
